Day One
Depart Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on British Airways.

Day Two
Arrive Verona/Valerio Catullo Airport.  Transfer by motor coach to the city of Modena and our 4-star hotel --Canalgrande-- and an afternoon free to explore Modena, before we have an incredible welcome dinner at Giusti. This deli is the oldest in Italy, and in their back room, they serve a meal of traditional fare from Emilia Romagna, that you will not forget, plus the wine cellar is exceptional.

Day Three
After a buffet breakfast, we will board our bus for a full day at the mercanteinfiera and its 1200 dealers.

Day Four
After a buffet breakfast, a second full day at the mercanteinfiera.  Lunch will be at the fair and dinner at La Secchia Rapita.

Day Five
Today you may return to the mercanteinfiera or you may visit the medieval city of Parma, whichever, we will be there to assist you.  We will also visit a local farm producing parmigiano reggiano, the world renown cheese.

Day Six
Today we will tour the famous De Tomaso sports car factory.   And then, a visit to a beautiful villa and its owner, who is the maker of the best (she has won the blue ribbon for 20 years in a row and been asked not to compete anymore!!!) Acete Balsamico -balsamic vinegar- in the region. This most memorable day comes to an end with a superb dinner at Luciano Pavarottis' restaurant, Europa 92.

Day Seven
After a buffet breakfast, we will board our bus for a visit to Bologna.  First we will go to a small local antique market (not shopped by your average tourist and for certain not visited by other tour groups), after the market we will have a gourmet fish lunch and then return for an afternoon of exploring beautiful Bologna.

Day Eight
On this day, we will go to two larger local antique markets.  We will have lunch in a small very local restaurant, one of which most tourist have not seen.   This day will give you a chance to see the charming Italian countryside and its even more charming people.

Day Nine
We will depart from the hotel at about 10:30 a.m., in order to commence with our return home, which includes an overnight stay in London.
